你好! Hello! Welcome to my site!
My name is Bonnie Bloxom and I am a recent Elon University alum (Long Live Elon!) spending a year and a half in Taipei, Taiwan. I am here pursing a master’s degree in Global Health at National Taiwan University on a Fulbright grant. This site… well I’m not quite sure of its exact purpose yet. I hope to mainly post about my scholarship and education centered around global health but also about my experiences living in Taipei and traveling around Taiwan/other places in Asia. The main purpose of the Fulbright Student Program is to promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the United States and a host country (in my case, this is Taiwan). This blog is a small and personal effort to bring a little bit of Taiwan (and other places in the world) to those reading back in the States (or elsewhere!) in hopes of increasing mutual understanding and respect for cultures and places that may be unfamiliar.

Other things about me:
- I am originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland (yes, I really do love Old Bay)
- I love all things chocolate and would be a foodie if I had the time (and money!)
- I enjoy spending time near the ocean/outdoors
- As pictured to the right –> I also love all things wine
- INFJ-A
- Enneagram Type 5
- I studied abroad for a semester in Copenhagen, Denmark in the Spring of 2018
- I did undergraduate research in collaboration with a non-profit in India for 2 years about hypertension and traveled around Northern India with my brother in the summer of 2018
